Couple of things... First of, great job for a once through recording.

Some pointers... First off, you really should do a multi track recording so you can concentrate on your singing rather than having to multi task.

If I'm not mistaken standard studio procedure would be as follows:

1. Record guitar track (use a metronome)
2. Re-record and patch the guitar track if there are mistakes
3. Do the beat boxing part (with the metronome)
4. Do a couple of vocal takes, and cut and paste the best parts of each
5. Record and patch up specific parts where you wanna improve on (either tough parts to pitch correctly, or a complicated fill)
6. Record back up vocals (if any)
7. Mix and muster the result

-The beat boxing at the beginning is great but has a slight pitch variance here and there.

-Through the song in some places, you tend to slide into the notes instead of hitting them dead on so maybe that's something you might wanna work on as well. You should keep your pitching more stable (which I imagine will take a hella load of practicing)

-The improv on the melody is fantastic... And I especially like the falsetto at the "what ya doin tonight" part. =D

-You sound a little rushed and out of breath in certain places (which may be contributing to the pitching prob) so you might wanna plan where you're gonna breath a little more

-I know you're finding your own style and all, but you can afford to enunciate your words slightly more

You have a very unique voice man. And it's a good kind of unique... =D You can definitely take this far if you put in the effort. Once again, great job man. Looking forward to hearing more of your works...
